Sacramento's, Tinoco's Mexican food makes a delicious torta.
A seven-inch telera is sliced in the middle and given a light butter spread. Then placed on the griddle to toast the telera. Followed by a mayonnaise spread on one piece of bread and refried beans on the other. Piled with your two choices of meat. Topped with a bed of lettuce, sliced tomato, raw onion, pickled jalapenos, queso fresco, and avocado.
